Engineered for Quality
Why Westinghouse? Westinghouse products have been trusted for over 50 years. In addition to providing you with better indoor comfort, we want you to feel comfortable investing in a product that will perform when you need it most. Each Westinghouse air conditioner is checked approximately 144 times during the manufacturing process, then run-tested to check for operation performance. Westinghouse air conditioners meet the Energy Star guidelines for efficient performance. The bottom line is savings to you in your utility costs.
Supreme Durability
A full metal jacket protects the coil from damage by weather and flying debris. It is finished with a silicone protective polyurethane coating that undergoes a 95O-hour salt spray test for harsher climates. It protects your unit from corrosion 50% more than standard outdoor finishes.
Top-of-the-Industry Installation and Service
When choosing a heating and cooling system, look not only at the products but also at the service and support provided by the dealer. Westinghouse dealers receive extensive training in the installation and care of your equipment.
Westinghouse High Efficiency Systems
(Go Green with Westinghouse)
Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rating (SEER)
SEER is the unit by which air conditioning energy efficiency is measured. In the world of air conditioning, the higher the SEER, the better the efficiency, and the lower your power bill. Westinghouse provides 13-SEER up to 23-SEER equipment, the highest SEER rating in the industry. Most homes built in the last 10 years have 8 to 1O-SEER air conditioners. With a 23-SEER system, you should see significant savings over your existing air conditioner.
Variable Speed and Two-stage Products:
Westinghouse offers Two-Stage Products and Variable Speed Technology.
Variable Speed:
Variable Speed systems are designed to improve temperature balances, improve air filtration and reduce hot and cold spots throughout the home. The variable speed systems under normal operating conditions insure constant comfort for the homeowner because the motor will automatically maintain its programmed level of airflow even if there are dynamic changes in static pressure.
Two-Stage Products:
Traditional heating and cooling systems are designed to heat or cool your home during the coldest or hottest day in your climate. Therefore when they are operating, they are heating or cooling at their full capacity. Two-Stage products are designed to operate like two separate systems, maintaining more consistent comfort levels throughout the home. The first stage consists of the system running at about 68% of its heating or cooling capacity. For example, a Two-Stage furnace will always start in the first stage and attempt to meet the heating demand. This reduced capacity is enough to warm a home on mild winter days. When temperatures drop, the furnace adjusts itself and enters the second stage to meet the demand within the home. This example is also true for Two-Stage cooling-with split system air conditioners and heat pumps.
IQ Drive System
- Selective Humidity Levels – Whether alone or with a humidifier, it regulates he most consistent moisture levels ever.
- Programmable Comfort Schedules – you can program a seven-day comfort schedule to control up to four specific events at precise times of the day, such as wake-up time, work time, home arrival or sleep time. You can even set a vacation mode for ultimate energy efficiency even while you’re away.
- Filter Monitoring – Lets you know if the filter needs cleaning or replacing.
- System Maintenance Reminders – Automatically notifies you of service intervals for accessories such as electronic air cleaners, humidifiers or UV light.
- On-Board Diagnostics – the display will let you know when any system fault is detected and service is needed.
Westinghouse Indoor Air Quality Products
Westinghouse Indoor Air Quality Products are built to exacting standards of quality and durability and, when installed with a Westinghouse heating and cooling system, carry the full 10-Year Warranty.
- Air Conditioner or Heat Pump
- GE ECM™ Blower Motor
- Furnace and/or Air Handler
- Indoor Coil – This is the indoor component to your air conditioner or heat pump. When you replace your outdoor system, you should always replace your indoor coil with a matched product for reliability and performance.
- Heat / Energy Recovery Ventilator (HRV/ERV) – An energy recovery ventilator brings fresh air in and takes stale air out. It transfers energy from the outgoing air to the incoming air so you save money while improving the quality of your indoor air.
- HEPA Air Cleaner – A HEPA (high efficiency particulate air) is the most efficient air cleaner available. It helps remove smoke, odors, and microscopic airborne particles that can trigger allergies and asthma. It’s filter captures 99.97% contaminates 0.3 micron and larger.
- Humidifier – Dry air in winter irritates sinuses, causes static electricity and can damage furniture and woodwork. A whole house humidifier attached on your ductwork can raise indoor humidity to a comfortable level.
- Zone Control Panel – Zone controls give you precise temperature control to every area of your home. For example, it can send more air conditioning to the upstairs in the summer or more heat to the cold north side in the winter.
- Programmable Thermostat – Programmable thermostats can increase energy savings by programming system usage around your personal schedule.
- Ultra Violet Air Purifier – An In-duct Air Purifier treats the air as it circulates through the ventilation system, continually destroying bacteria, viruses, mold, chemicals and odors.
- Electronic Air Cleaner – An electronic air cleaner can remove out 95% of contaminant’s as small as 0.01 micron.
